Why do you like the job?

Currently, I am in charge of building websites for our company's services, mainly using WordPress. I especially like the process of giving shape to designs, and I get a great sense of accomplishment when I am able to realize a difficult design. In addition, I would like to try web design in the future to further broaden my skills.

How did you start working?

I have always enjoyed touching computers and started learning programming languages. When the Internet first became popular, I began to look at various websites and thought, “I would like to make one myself,” and started creating them as a hobby. That hobby evolved into my current job. I am grateful to be able to do what I love as my job.

What was it about working with the team that you enjoyed?

I have often worked in small teams, and I am proud that I have been able to smoothly carry out projects through frequent communication. For me, the joy of working in a team is directly related to “a comfortable work environment. I feel especially comfortable in a team where there are few emotional factors and things can be done calmly, allowing me to concentrate on my work. I find it rewarding to be able to achieve results with my team in such an environment.

Beliefs and Philosophy in my Work.

I believe that it is difficult to fully understand someone's intentions in a single communication. Therefore, I try to communicate carefully and frequently in order to accurately understand the other party's intentions. I believe this enables me to provide the best possible suggestions and responses. Even when faced with a technically difficult issue, I try to present a feasible counterproposal, rather than simply telling them that it cannot be done. This is my basic stance in my work.

What is an exciting project?

I find it more rewarding to work on projects where I have some discretion and freedom to implement, rather than projects where the specifications are strictly defined. I am especially excited when I have the opportunity to try new techniques and methods. Also, because I have a craftsman's nature, I am more attracted to working with my hands to produce results than to management. I would like to utilize my skills and grow in such an environment.

I have been involved in web development for about 10 years. I am particularly experienced in the areas of front-end development and coding, and I also build sites utilizing WordPress and MovableType. Design is not my specialty, but I can build sites including design if necessary.
